Hello,
Can someone provide any valuable reasons to proxy SIP registrations from the VCS-E to the VCS-C, or why people do this? The only response I have heard is that people think this is more secure, if so I do not understand how.
Thanks,
Justin

What Justin is referring to is where TelePresence endpoints that would typically register to the VCS-E would instead register to the VCS-C if SIP registration proxy mode was enabled.
I've heard of the same example "it's more secure", the only thing that comes to mind is trying to limit what the VCS-E has access to on the network since it's public facing, whereas the VCS-C is internal, so it can have full access to AD and other services without too much concern.

Not sure I fully understand your question, but the VCSe typically proxies SIP registrations on Mobile Jabber clients then passes the FW trough the traversal connection between VCSe and c.
