Currently using WebEx CMR with a Cisco Telepresence MX300.
I use the SIP URI to dial into the Meeting and enter the Host ID. My webex is set up to not start the meeting until I join as a host, but typically I am not the presenter. I also have the meeting set up to allow anyone to share so I don't have to assign them as presenter.
Many times I would like to record this meeting but I can't seem to find a way to do that from the Telepresence device. I find I have to login to the Webex via a computer with my host login again, and record from there.
My question is: If I want to start to record this meeting from my Telepresence device is there a start code I can enter from the key pad to start the recording?

Can you explain how you schedule your meeting? Can you also explain how you want to do the recording?

The WebEx meetings are scheduled with the productivity tools in Outlook or via the user web portal.
What I was looking for was if I am the host and I join from my Telepresence device, I would like to be able to press a button for a Feature Access Code to record the Webex meeting

Right now, you'll have to log into WebEx on your computer to start the recording, there is no option when using a TelePresence endpoint to start a recording. An option that might work in your case is "Automatically record all sessions using Network Based Recording", it's located under Configuration > Meeting Center within the WebEx Admin Site.

Thanks.. that is what i was afraid of. I will check out the "record all" feature.
One additional question for the Record All feature. Can I do this per user? or is that for my whole group?

The record all feature is a site wide setting, so it will apply to all users.
I suggest you contact your Account Manager and ask them to create a feature request to allow TelePresence endpoints connected into a CMR meeting to be able to start the WebEx recorder using a PIN code or some other capable method.

Thank you I will do that.

Hello,
I had this same question, its getting close to a year now since this was originally asked. Do you know if anything has been implemented to allow the start/stopping of a recording from a telepresence endpoint or a touch 10?
Thanks
Sean
