Room Kit series with Blue jeans

Is VCS is mandatory to join a call from Room kit series when invitation was sent from blue jeans. 

I am trying to configure room kit plus in stand alone mode. If i place a call from my room kit plus in the below format is ok or VCS integration is required kindly suggest.

Meeting ID.Passcode@IP address of blue jeans or

Meeting ID.Passcode@bjn.vc

Hello,

If you are using as a standalone the VCS is not required and you can join calls directly but the appropriate ports should be open on your firewall for this communication.

Also if you are not using a public IP then NAT configuration should be proper.
