I am working on setting up a CISCO Room Kit EQ with the Quad Cam and optional PTZ 4K Cam. Can I set the default for the PTZ camera and can it perform speaker tracking? The Quad Cam works just fine. I have both devices connected in the following format.
I have the quad cam setup with an HDMI cable to port 1 video (port 3 on the back on the codec) and the ethernet port to port 1 on the ethernet. I also have the PTZ connected to port 2 video (port 4 on the back of the codec) and the ethernet port to port 2 on the codec. I can plug the PTZ or the quad cam into video port 1 and they work independently as the main camera. However, I can not get them to work together.
I am not looking for crossview experience but I did find this to get my PTZ camera to properly detect on port 2 video.
Configurations (for anyone new here this is located in the control hub, find the EQ device, Configurations->All Configurations)
To get the cross-view experience as default
set xConfiguration Cameras SpeakerTrack
DefaultBehavior to Closeup from Control Hub or
the device web interface.
When the software setup is complete, make sure
these configurations are set for all camera inputs:
xConfiguration Video Input Connector [N]
PresentationSelection: Manual
xConfiguration Video Input Connector [N]
InputSourceType: Camera
xConfiguration Video Input Connector [N]
CameraControl Mode: On
xConfiguration Video Input Connector [N] Quality:
Motion
I can also use the navigator to choose my view from either camera for a presentation. The Quad cam will do presentation tracking but the PTZ camera will not. My ultimate goal is to use the PTZ camera to face the presenter and the quad camera to face the audience. I am not sure what the best way to achieve my goal of using my room for presentation (when we have a speaker) or just a conference (when there is just an audience). Any suggestions or clarification is appreciated.
Thank you

It sounds like you're trying to re-implement functionality that is already built in to the device.
