Standalone telepresence unable to dial to URI address

Dear all,

Our branch office has standalone SX20 unit and our HQ has expressway infrastructure with CUCM. When we dial to them, we are able to dial via IP address.

However, if they dial to us, they are not able to dial to our URI address. Is that the default limitation of stand alone unit?

If standalone unit are able to dial only by IP address, how should we configure at our expressway infrastructure.

Standalone endpoints will only be able to be contacted via IP address.  If you want them to contact  you via URI address, you'll need to register the SX20 to CUCM.

If you branch office is on the same network as HQ, you can probably direct register to CUCM.  Otherwise, you'll need to use MRA via your Expressway to register to CUCM.  See the Mobile and Remote Access Deployment Guide for more details.

Another option is to using your Expressways to convert a CUCM call to IP.  See Dial IP Addresses from Endpoints Registered to CUCM with VCS / Expressway for more details.
