SX10 Problem to receive calls

Hi All

We´ve installed a SX10 (stand alone - w/o CUCM or VCS) and we did the basic configurations.

SIP Parameters

ANAT = off

DefaultTransport = Auto

Line = Shared

Listen port is = ON

Proxy 1 to 4 Address: emptyURI - company@publicIPaddress.

Topology: SX10---Catalyst 2690X - ASA5506X - Internet

In a Lap Top, we´ve installed the Linphone application (http://www.linphone.org/)  to make a test calls

All the calls from SX10 to the Linphone are stablished, but all the calls from linphone to SX10, didn´t work.

In this case, the SX10 ring, I accepeted the call, in the Linphone the call is aborted imeditelly, and at the SX10 cut the call after few (about 30) seconds.

Software version: ce 8.1.0 Final b8c0ca3 2016-04-05

Installed options: Encryption

someone already had this problem?

regards

Claudio Arriagada

can you include some logs re. SIP signalling, on yout Sx 20  got to diagnostics>log files, the eventlog/all.log contains the SIP messages. on your linphone, run wireshark and capture sip messages.  the issue is most likely caused by a capabilities mismatch, or an RTP port forward/translation from external to internal not working.

If your outbound calls are working, but your inbound calls are failing, then this is likely a firewall issue.  Make sure that you have opened up all the required firewall ports from the Internet to your endpoint.

Wayne,

could you give me some tips about the firewall ports to be opened?

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11606926/sx20-standalone is a good thread which tells you how to configure a standalone SX/EX/MX/Cseries endpoint and the firewall ports required.

CE8.2 introduced H323 support for the SX10, in addition to the other suggestions, it might help using H323 with NAT.  For firewall ports, refer to post mentioned by Wayne as well as the document Cisco (ex-TANDBERG) IP & SIP Firewall Ports.
