Hi Muazam,

Is your SX20 endpoint configured with private IP address/NAT or public IP?

"Cannot connect call" problems usually cause by firewall.

In your case your system is stand alone (Direct IP dialing) not registered to SIP Proxy/H323 Gatekeeper, this forum section could  help you resolve your issue:

Hi Acevirgil,

My SX20 is configured with public NAT ip, but i am unable to call even my local devices, software version is 7.3.1

Hi Muazam,

Verify your setting under H323 Settings. H323 call setup mode should be set to "Direct". Restart the system to make sure configuration will take effect.

For further troubleshooting, try to disable NAT on your SX20 then make local calls to your local video endpoints. This will test if your system can initiate call. Try also other local endpoint to call your SX20. If this works well, issue could be your network firewall if you cannot initiate call to endpoints located outside your network.

Regards,

Acevirgil

This might help you figure out where to look (Page 29/37)

http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/codec-c-series/tc6/troubleshooting_guide/tc_troubleshooting_guide_tc60.pdf

SUMMARY:

Login the Web GUI as "admin" to the unit.

Left column: "System Unit". Set "Call Logging" to ON and save.

Then reset the codec (to clear logs).

Afterwards, place call and recreate problem.

Hang up the call.

Back to Web GUI

Diagnostics (along the top) -> select "Log Files"

open eventlog/application.log

the problem should be listed here in the text.

my issue came up as:

     causeToLocal=[fail_network_rejected('Invalid NAT Address')

I went to the Web GUI-> H323 -> NAT

We here do not use NAT addressing, so the address was blank. But it was set to AUTO.

So I changed it to OFF, and voila! Fixed. I can now make outgoing calls.
