SX20 failing to conenct to a SIP

Hi folks trying to get some help understanding the call details behind certain call logs. I have an sx20 that we tried to use to connect to a sip. The Call logs show our numerous attempts at making the call but most logs show the disconnect casue type as 'NetworkRejected' with cause code 404(SIP). The disconnnect cause is 'call party not registered'. I suspect our problem was due to cusotmer suplying an incorrect SIP but would like to be sure.

We'd need some more information on your issue.  How is your endpoint configured to make a SIP call?   Does your call control platform (you don't say how your device is registered, or even if it is?) allow you to dial outbound?  What software release are you running on the SX20?

When you are registered to a SIP registrar say VCS control, every SIP call you try to make is going to go to the registrar to try to resolve whatever it is you've dialed. If the VCS service has no configuration to support public IP address dialing, it will fail.

Are you even sure that your call is going to the customer's infrastructure ?

Hope this helps,
