SX80 Codec End of Life

Hi there,

I have the following notice on control Hub for my Cisco Telepresence SX80 Codec:

"This product is obsolete and will be disconnected from all cloud services. Technical support, software updates, and hardware replacements have been discontinued."

We use CVI with these for Microsoft Teams meetings. So getting disconnected from all cloud services means no more CVI?

Thanks.

Indirectly, yes. VIMT will remain available over SIP, with some limitations, but the endpoint will no longer be registered to a call control or firewall-traversal platform. It would need to register to CUCM/Expressway on-premises to leverage the SIP B2B calling capabilities of Expressway instead. It could also dial the SIP URI direct, without any call control, if the endpoint was given a public IPv4 address directly (no NAT). Neither of those options solves for calendar integration to facilitate OBTP though. If reverting to a fully on-premises deployment you could consider VQ Conference Manager but that seems harder than just refreshing the hardware.
