I'm stuck at the network settings setup for the SX80 because it's not detecting a DHCP server or validating the static IP assignment. I've verified with the network tech that the IP and VLAN information is correct but nothing works. Should the LAN port for the SX80 be amber when connected? I don't have visibility into the Brocade switch it's connected to but I think it's a layer 2 issue. Should the port be hard coded to gig speed?

You should not need to hard code any port speed or duplex - this can often cause more problems that it solves.
The first thing to check would be that you have connected the network cable to the correct Ethernet port on the back of the SX80. It needs to be connected the 1st port at the top left end, labelled (1), as specified in the Installation Guide. If you've connected it to (2) or (3), it will not work.

Thanks for the response Wayne. Yes I'm connected to port 1, top left as stated in the installation guide. The two link lights for that are green and amber which leads me to believe it's something on the switch's end. I want to confirm if anyone has ran into any issues connecting to a FastEthernet switch. The network admin says the port is configured properly but I'm not convinced.

What happens if you plug your computer into the network port you're trying to use?
The same goes for the SX80, what happens if you plug it into a known working DHCP enabled network port (with DHCP enabled on the SX80)?
