I am planning to take the CCNP Voice certification by this year. But I am not sure that do I need to take the CCNA voice cert before take CCNP voice.
I am a CCNA certified 3 years ago and my cert is going to expire on this year May, 2011.
Can anyone advice on this?

Looks like you do need to have the CCNA Voice prior to starting the CCNP Voice: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/message/127342

Hi Lim,
The CCNP Voice consists of 5 exams. You have to take all exams to complet ethe CCNP Voice.
If you sit for any of the 5 exams before the expiration date of CCNA, you'll be recertified in CCNA.
HTH!
Please rate.

Hi Lim,
You can take the CVOICE exam first and that will make you CCNA Voice, so then 4 additional tests to become CCNP Voice
Good luck
