Hello

I have 2 tandbergs E20 integrated to CUCM 8.6

1 registered as Native running firware version TE4.1.1.273710

1 registered as Third-party SIP Device (Advanced) TE2.2.1.224666

I tried to registered as 3rd Party Device running TE4.1 but without success. I performed different ways to try it but still without getting success.

1.-It is possible to register as 3rd party running TE4.1... ? or only works if is running TE2.2.?

2.-The E20 that is registered as 3rd Party Sip, while im trying to place a call to an extension the call take about 15 seconds to establish, this is

the normal behavior? or there is a way to tune settings to place the call faster?

Thanks in advance

Regards!

Hello Victor,

I would recommend you to please use CUCM 8.6.2a

and E20 on TE 4.1.2 or TE 6.0

This would probably resolve your issue.

Cisco Doesn't encourage 3rd party Device registration on CUCM and you may face issues while call setup.

Thanks,

Saurabh

CUCM sould be on 8.6.1 for the E20 and direct registration.

Whats the reason why you do not update both to TE4.1.2 and CUCM to 8.6.1 and

use both registered directly to CUCM?

Hello

Martin / Saurabh

First of all thanks for your replies.

I made the question because i was testing both registration methods, and i didn't know that TE4.1.2 can register as Native, i understood until upgraded it , i was having problems trying Sip 3rd Party registration running TE4.1.2.

I think that cannot register as 3rd Party because it has native registration feature.

And as you mentioned it works much better registered as Native.

Thanks
