Hi
We have low quality and random call failures when calling to a MPS MCU registered with H323 -
So the strategy was to convert to SIP trunks.
We are failing to get CUPS working to a Tandberg MPS MCU, when we convert across to SIP
CUPS -> CUCM -> VCS -> MPS
The VCS has
a neighbour zones to CUCM and
a neighbour zone to MPS
Does anyone have any config examples, of restricting the bandwidth
it seems to request 384 k but get offered 1920 k
Best regards

Hi Dominic,
Before saying thing we need to know more about your setup. Like what kind of zones and subzones you have on VCS??
Based on that you can use link and pipes to limit the bandwidth.
But as i said please provide additional details for subzones and any pipe or links you are using?
Please check below link for more information.
Page 202 onwards for bandwidth control.
Thanks
Alok

This is where the problem lies,
When the MPS is registered with h323 - we can apply a subzone bandwidth limit (768k), and can (mostly) complete calls but with low quality.
When the MPS is changed to be a SIP neighbour (zone and search rule) it does not appear to valid to control bandwidth
between two external zones -
It appears - links and pipes can only be used between
- a zone and subzone
- a subzone to subzone
But not zone to zone
ie
Cups call from CUCM (8.5) ---> sip trunk ---> VCS ----> sip trunk -----> MPS MCU
Are there any examples of applying bw control zone to zone,
And any tested versions of CUPS, CUCM, VCS and MPS with operational video ?
Cheers

Hi Dominic,
What is the VCS version you are running in your setup?
cheers
