Tandberg not recognizing DTMF tones from Lync 2010

Hello,

We are running a Tandberg system, using Codian MSE 8510.  We are also running CUCM 8.6 and Lync 2010.  CUCM is routing calls for Lync.  When a Lync user attempts to join a Tandberg video conference via the audio bridge (dial in), the Tandberg unit isnt recognizing the DTMF tones.  Looking for a possible workaround.  software version on the Codian is 4.2(1.43).

Hi David, Appreciate if you can share which model of Tandberg endpoint is registering to CUCM and how is the configuration done between CUCM to Lync for call routing.

I see the latest software version for MCU is 4.4 [Release 4.4(3.49)]  can you upgrade the respective MCU to this software and check if it is  still exhbiting the same problem ?

Hi David,

I have few queries.

1. How CUCM is routing calls to Lync, is there VCS involved?

2. What is DTMF setting on the trunk?

3. Lync only understand the RFC 2833 DTMF method.

4. Go to settings page in MCU, scroll down and enable "Adverstise out of band DTMF"
