Dear all

We have onyl instaled a TCS without any other Server SN ory MXE3500, just only TCS.

Now, I have tried to configure the Multicast Setting on the TCS.

My question is the exact configuration to enable Multicast stream on the TCS.

1. I have created a new Media Server with only Multicast enable and have also before on the Windows Server created a new Publish Point

What I'm now mising is the Point in the Admin Guide, that I'm must running the "Multicast Announcement Wizard" is that correct to run this wizard ?

If have no run this wizard and have after that also seen in the IIS Manager that this File ****.nsc was created.

When open the url http://1.1.1.1/test.nsc  Windows Media Player is trying to load the, but Iafter few time I'm get an error (can not play the file)

I have also sniff with Wireshark and see that I'm receive the Multicast stream, which I have configured in the Publshing Point, my PC make an Membership query for the specific group (that seems to be that the Network is correct configured).

Interesting is for me what coud be wrong.

We have SW Version n TCS 5.3 Build 3316

Any help very appreciated.

Regards

Georg

Georg,

This works for both Mulricast and Unicast streams but make sure Multicast is enabled on your network.

Create the Multicast Publish Point on the TCS server, Once created configure the Multicast IP address and port and make sure Multicast is enabled on the Publishing Point.  You do not need to run the Announcement Wizard.

Next need to configure TCS to use the Publish Points.  Configure the  Media Server, Recording Aliases and Template under Management/Recording Setup.  This will tie the Publish Point create to the H.323/SIP event name used to start the TCS recording/Live Event process.

Once everything is configured calling in to the TCS using the H.323/SIP name will initiate a live multicast event.  The event can be see at http://TCS IP Address/tcs/data/_Publish Point.nsc  Note that there is an underscore before the Publish Point name and the name is case sensitive.

Hope this helps

John
