Hello!
When I access the webinterface of our TCS (S5.3, new version with hd) and I am not logged in I get redirected to https (self sigend certificate)
Which in general is great, but access to the streaming and on demand content does not work,
the bug toolkit did not seem to know the content server at all and the bug search tool reports no bugs at all, ...
accessing the same playback uri, replacing https by http works fine.
Tried it with OSX Safari & Firefox (latest version) + silverlight 4&5.
Is there anything to fix this (like official cert, other browser, os, plugin, player, ...) or is this a bug?

I just tested this with our TCS which has an official cert and I get the same results when trying to playback a recording in https.

Hi Patrick!
+5 for the checkup! Thats a geat feedback, thank you!
Guess its now up to cisco, if I am not going to hear something here today I guess I am going to
escalate it as a service request. Ill keep you updated!
Also thx to Jens who had given me some feedback earlier.

Thx, could you follow up why this bug is not public (at least I get an error accessing it),
and why the content server in the bug seach shows no bugs at all (also not very realistic)

The release note for CSCtt01659 was set to internal. Modified it so it can become visible. Allow the system some time to apply the new changes. Afterwards, the ddts should become visible and accessible.

Hi there,
we have same issue and I realised, that this bug is also unfixed (continued) with newest sw version (S6.0.1).
In addition we have a outtimed certificate on the server...
The server ip address is already entered in the trusted site list of the client (http and https)
Customer is using IE 11 and I did not found any possibility to connect the server with http.
With IE 8 I'll get also a message of the outtimed certificate, but then I have the possibilty to acknowledge this and go ahead to logon.
With IE 11 I don't get such a possibilty to acknowledge => no logon possible => to playback via silverlight and flash.
Security level of internet, lokal intranet and trusted sites were set to very low - without success.
Via https it would be possible to logon also with IE 11, but then were running into the bug => no playback via silverlight and flash.
Did anyone have a hint to make possible the logon with IE 11 via http and a outtimed certificate?
Regards
Fabian

I can't comment on IE11 at all, we don't have it in our organization. I know there was a comment going around by our help desk that someone was using IE11 by mistake and the TCS didn't work properly, can't remmeber the specifics of what they were trying to do.
However, note the TCS 3rd Gen admin guide, software version 6, the supported IE browswer is version 8.

I think Now problem is solved, If not then now we can use TCS Mobile apps, That is most valuable and also very user friendly, You can get from tcswebmail.net both apps for iTunes and Android. Thanks
