Question:
in CTMS there is a VIP option and Lecture mode so its pretty easy to configure.
On the otehr side, Im using TPS 8710, and what i want to achieve is the following:
Start a meeting, join 1 participant, (triple screen) lock it.
The other participants that join the meeting always see this VIP participant?
Is it possible is TPS?
Thanks
JP

Hello Justin,
With regards to the TS8710, unfortunately this type of configuration with Lecture Mode is not possible.
We are looking at incorporating this type of functionality in the future with Conductor, but unfortunately not within the TS8710.
There is a workaround that you could try in this instance, but it is a little "akward". What you can do is mute all the other participants video in the conference and make the triple screen participant important which would lock this participant in the main conference pane.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Justin,
Apparently the TPS has a "make important" feature. This can currently only be configured from the web interface or the API, not directly from an endpoint. From talking to some of the product management and test engineers, you'd need to add the appropriate participant into a conference and then set that participant to be important. This can be done immediately after creating the conference if so required. But it can't currently be automated through Conductor. The make important button is a little crown with a tick on it next to the participant when you are displaying the expanded status view
Thanks,
Guy
