Solved: Re: Trouble upgrading SX20 firmware

I am trying to upgrade the firmware on some SX20 to ce9.2.1. The firmware package uploads okay and the codec and touch 10 seem to upgrade fine. When it comes to the PrecisionHD 12x the whole thing fails and reloads the ce8.2.2 firmware.

I also tried to load ce8.3.4 with the same result.

Has anyone else had the same problem and was able to overcome the problem?

How are you upgrading? Via TMS, CUCM, Web interface? Is your call control platform forcing your endpoints to a particular software version?

You were absolutely correct!

I am doing the upgrade via the web interface. My thinking is the new firmware package is so large I didn't want to upload it to my tftp server. My backups are long enough as it is. I totally forgot to enter the phone load name in the SX's config in CUCM.
