Hi,
I have upgraded a TMS server to 15.4 from 14.3.2 and now three TS 8710 blades running in local mode won't register with TMS. The check box for Discover non-SNMP Systems is not longer at the Advanced options in the Add Systems screen. I see TMS trying to discover the TS device via HTTP/HTPPS and then on SNMP but comes back with error that system can not be found.
I have checked basic connectivity and could not find anything in Release Notes or other documents that warns about 8710s in local mode no longer being supported by TMS 15.x.
TS blades are running version 4.2.4 (last version that supports local mode).
I'll certainly appreciate any help that can be provided.
Thanks

Pretty sure it's still supported - try logging onto the TMS Windows server and browsing to the TP servers by both HTTP and HTTPS, also try hostname and IP address.
I'm running TMS 15.4 and even though I'm using Conductor, TMS still discovers the individual TP servers via HTTP/HTTPS.

Thanks Nick,
I can get to the servers on http but not on https. Can't try by hostname because customer has not setup a DNS entry for that.
I don't see how to enable https on the TS. There's a setting for http and right now is set for port 80, which seems correct. Any ideas on how to enable https?
Thanks

It's in services or network services I think

What is your security setting do you have TMS set to? You can check this within TMS Tools application on the Windows server, if it is set to either Medium-High or High, TMS will only use SSL when communicating to managed endpoints which includes HTTPS and SSH.
HTTPS can be enabled under Network > Services. You'll need to have encryption option key installed in order to see the HTTPS option I believe.
When you tried to add the TelePresence Server to TMS, did you select Discover Non-SNMP Systems under the Advanced Settings section?

Hi Pat,
Thanks for your response.
TMS is running in Medium security. TS don't have Encryption key so that's the reason I don't see a setting for HTTPS.
TMS 15.4 does not have that check box for non-SNMP systems as in older versions. Not sure why they removed that feature.
I'm working with TAC now and have been recommended a software upgrade on the TS. Customer hasn't allowed me to do it yet. Will update this discussion once I get a solution.
Thanks
