Collaboration Edge with Expressway Core and Edge is the solution that best fits on this deployment.

If you're looking on Mobile and Remote Access (MRA) and B2B video calls, the Expressway solution can provide these. No worries on what protocol you will be running. Both H323 and SIP is supported and interworking (SIP<--->H323) as well. You will have no worries on many organizations that continue to use H.323 for call signaling and endpoint registration.  SIP-to-H.323 interworking and vice versa is provided for communications with other video networks. For business-to-business communications, leverage the Expressway Edge as the SIP-to-H.323 interworking gateway facing the WAN or Internet side.

This document would help you find best solution for your current setup. Refer to page 24.

thanks for the quick response Acevirgil de Ocampo..

I had a look at that validated design and it was quite insightful.....from the reffered diagrams we are going for the MPLS solution since thats what the provider is bringing the internet connection through....we dont have the expressway option on our UC6k and we cant purchasing that at the moment....i want clarity no whether if i set the interface facing the MPLS cloud, will that have to be a SIP/H.323 trunk in order for remote/mobile clients to dial in and join the conference in progress or setting one up....??? Apologises if im asking too much

I would suggest using SIP trunk and it's the right way of interfacing to the cloud.  Refer to this document which SIP trunk model fits your environment.
