Question: Will entering the option keys on the new replacement and bringing it online impact the original appliance still in production?

It won't affect anything, the option keys that were transferred from the failed VCS to the new one doesn't reference the old device in any way. The transfer/rehost process just allows you to get same or like option keys for your replacement that matches the old device you're returning to Cisco.
You'll also need to contact the vendor or whomever the service contracts were purchased through to have them updated to reflect the RMA, so the old serial number can be replaced with the new one you received. This process doesn't happen automatically when an RMA or rehost is done.
