We have 9 VG248 in our VOIP infrastructure. VG248 is now End of Support from Cisco, what is best desigb to have 9x48 ports with minimum physical hardware? is there any NM-HDA available with high port density??? what is best solution???

Hi Divyesh,
I have not seen an EOS/EOL notice for the VG248 (in fact I am just about to install 7 new ones as part of our transition). Have a look at this doc (I don't see the VG248)
Please let me know where you received this information if possible.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi,
In the link above is see the VG200 as EoL but not the VG224 or VG248, that are a different product.

Hi Divyesh,
I have to agree with Paolo (5 points for you Paolo :) I have scoured all available areas for info on this., beleive me I don't want to move 300 plus circuits onto a piece of equipment that is EOL/EOS. I only have ever seen the VG200 as EOL/EOS, which as Paolo correctly indicated, is a different "kettle of fish" altogether.
Have a look;

Hope this helps!

Thank you Rob. I know for sure that your users can feel safe with you at the driving console.
And I will always say "kettle of fish" from now on. It sounds so seamanship!

Hi Guys,
I read your above discussion.
I am also having a similar scenario where i have to connect around 400 analog extensions to the system. I would like to know your opinion ? i need around 16 VG224 !!!! Is it a gud idea to install VG224 in such a big number?
I compared the above pricing with installing a new nortal PBX at that location.....the cost is high as compared to 16 gateways!!!!
Can you please share you experience? and suggest?

Hi Nouman,

Very nice it was on the same datasheet ...i did not notice that.....
and what about the configuration!!!! is it the same way as ATA....each phne attached to the FXS will be treated as an endpoint in the CUCM.
I will be taking the same license as for ATA
thanks for the help
