Hi guys.
I am about to start my CCNP/CCIE Collaboration certification campaign not only for certificate itself but also to keep in step with the times. I want to start with one 2911 with all necessary modules and 9971 phones.
Will it be possible to deploy video conference on CUCME only?

We dropped support for using PVDM3 as a video CFB, you'll need a video CFB for that.

What is CFB. Tried to google it but found nothing.

Conference Bridge, I'm guessing you just googled CFB, should have tried "cisco CFB"

So, the only way to "play" with video calls in my home lab is to deploy CUCM. Right?

Video calls and video conferences are not the same thing.
And in case you meant conferences, no, CUCM is NOT a video CFB.
I suggest you read the Cisco preferred architectures and the whole SRND if you're looking to become Cisco certified, all the best practices are contained there.

I probably confused two definitions video calls and video conferences. Sorry for that. What I meant is that whether it is possible to give video calls using 9971 phones through CUCME? If not then whether it is possible to do that through CUCM.

You can make video calls on both systems.
