videoconference endpoint SX80. How to replace the usefull use of TC console in CE9?

Hi,

We have 9 SX80 installed in classroom in an University and since 2014 we make an usefull use of the TC console to manage the view in all  3 monitors we have. Until now we are kipping the TC7.11 in all our devices . If we want to upgrade to  CE 9 we need a way to substitute the Layout design of TC console. We've seen that exist the new Macros feature, but it is much more complicated  to use just to manage layout design than the usefull TC console.

Do someone know if, in a near future, cisco will create a in-side  device web interface to manage the video layout  as it exists  to substitute  the audio TCconsole?

There just isn't the flexibility currently avalable in CE as there was in the TC software.  If you need the full flexibility you don't really have any option on the codec other than staying with the TC software (or performing the image manipulation off-codec with other equipment, then feeding the composited feed back in as a single input source.

The CE9.2.1 and later software does allow some basic source composition.  See the "source composition" sections of the Admin Guide (pages 221 - 224).

We are never able to answer forward-looking roadmap questions on the public forums; that requires an NDA.

The audio console is built in the web interface now. Other layout/compositing functions can be exposed through the macro API framework.

CE9 supports 3 monitors with different roles natively, so depending on what you want to do with each monitor, it might just work, although you don't get a huge amount of flexibility.
