Hello there,

Any one knows if VT Advantage could be integrated with a Tandberg solution (Tandberg 990MXP, MCU Tandberg and Management software TMS from Tandberg). How multipoint videoconferences work? Would I need any adittional hardware from Cisco?.

We are using CCM 4.1, and our IP phones are 7960/7970.

Best Regards

Hi.

We have 2 phones with CVTA, and have just integrated it with our Tandberg video-conference system. This works just fine. You can call Tandberg endpoints directly for CVTA, and you can call CVTA from Tandberg endpoints. Multiconferences via MCU works just fine too.

To make this work you have to set up a H.225 trunk on the CCM 4.0 and make it register to you GK.

We are using Tandberg MCU`s, Tandberg TMS, CCM 4.0 and a GNU GK.

The answer depends on what you are actually seeking in regards to integration. If you want the CVTA endpoint to join a H.323 conference on the Tandberg MCU with another Tanberg video endpoint this should be able to take place.

The Tandberg MCU can not be run as a SCCP MCU resource so you will not be able to use it in a CCM environment as a Media Resource for Ad-hoc video conferences. In other words you will not be able to use the "Confrn" soft key on a CVTA enabled 79XX IP Phone to initiate video conference between mulitiple endpoints.

I have a question I am running 4.0.2(a) and I thought if I go under Device---Phone I should see Tandberg as one of the options along with the 7940/7960 options but I dont see that. Since Tandberg runs Skinny I thought we now have the option of adding it as a phone without having to go through H.323 client/gateway or H.225 trunk with gatekeeper option.

Should I be at some specific patch/release?

Hi!

You need a special plugin from TB Get it here:

http://ftp.tandberg.no/pub/CallManagerSw/

HI!

OK, But what?s happen with waranty Cisco?.

For example, tandberg 1000 only works (skinny) from version 4,2 CCM, but tandberg enterprise tells from version 4.0 with plugin.

If there are problems after with ccm, what tell cisco?
