Webex Codec Pro and Crestron Control

I would like to find out if it is possible to control the Webex Codec Pro via a Crestron Control system.  I have spoken with Crestron and have been told that they have control modules for the SX 20 and SX 80 codecs but that Cisco has not been sharing the command sets for newer equipment with them.    I have heard that some installations have used both the Cisco Touch 10 and a Crestron Touch Panel (to control the codec and the rest of the AV system respectively) but this strikes me as unnecessarily kludgy.   What I have seen of the ability to customize the Touch 10 has not impressed me either.

Cisco publishes the API docs for all of their models, including the Room Kit Pro. They are all right here:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/collaboration-endpoints/spark-room-kit-series/products-command-reference-list.html

You definitely can control a Room Kit Pro with Crestron, AMX, etc.

Hi ,

i have similar kind of issue.  i am trying to control Cisco webex room kit pro , was able to control the codec from Crestron with SSH interface .  but when the Cisco guy put the codec in webex control hub , it stopped comunicating with Crestron .

Any suggestion ?

Strangely I am having the same issue. My Cisco Room Kit pro was registered with Zoom, and when changing it to Cisco Webex Control Hub, I lost control through the Crestron Touch Panel.

You're definitely better off using Touch 10 control of the Crestron system. Crestron-based codec control always has issues and never quite has all the features of the Touch 10.
