ATA Dial-Up Modem

I would like to use my ATA 186/188 to operate with a dial-up modem. I understand that this configuration is not supported, but some users have gotten it to work using fax configuration's on their 186. I have the following configuration on my 186 and it does not connect:

AudioMode: 0x00150015

ConnectMode: 0x90000400

LBRCodec: 1

Does anyone have a known configuration that would work for this use? Maybe I need to add a command to my router? Thanks in advance.

This doc should help you. We followed this doc and we are able to use the ATA's as modems. Mind you that it certainly isn't the greatest of speeds.

Can you give me an idea of what commands you actually used in your router and what some of your settings are on the ATA? We have many ATA's set up for faxing currently with no problems, but the modem connections are not working. I think we must be missing something.
