The 8m cable that comes with Room Kits is directional in nature. It comes with a label that says so, and is labeled as to which end goes towards the presentation source.
However, if that label has gone AWOL....which end is which? One end seems larger than the other, and I'm assuming this is the end with the repeater in it, and I think that should go towards the source....but I don't know for sure.
Can someone shed some light? We're trying to troubleshoot faulty cables and not knowing which way it's supposed to work isn't helping the situation.
Thanks.

One end has the Cisco logo on it, the other end does not. The end with the logo is the source (laptop) end, the other is the destination/codec. Trust me - I've learned this the hard way :)
