Cisco VCS Starter Pack Express replacement

Hi All, 

We have a VCS-SPE x7.2.2 that is having some hardware fault, apparently we bought a new warranty replacement for it.

I received a new out of the box VCS x8.2.2. How do i convert from VCS to a VCS-SPE?

Also i need to port over the licenses from the old box to the new

My objective is basically to do a quick swap with existing config port over to new box

Hi!,

You need an option key to convert a VCS to starter pack, once you do the licensing migration and install them it should convert to "Starter Pack"

If you've received the replacement via an RMA, you can re-host the licences using the Cisco Licencing Portal.  Once logged in, go to the Licences tab, then select "Rehost from failed device (RMA)" option.
