Telepresence Server, Conductor, VCS VMware Backup Copy

Hi Community,

I have deployed TP servers, Conductor and VCS as virtual machines.

I can get the configurations as back up copy on the systems but how do i get a full back up copy of the VM.

I'm asking this because for example the physical server will fail or the VM will be corrupted for some reasons, how can I re-build the VM machines.

As i know, when you deploy new VM it will be a different serial numbers so new release keys/option keys will be needed.

Could you guide me hows the procedure on doing back up.

Thank you.

The supported method is to use VMWare Snapshots, if you just "copy" the VM and restore it without using the snapshot feature, the serial number on the VMs will change making them not function until new licenses are generated.

Refer to the installation guides on the supported backup methods for each product:

VCS Install Guide on pgs 15-16.

Conductor Install Guide on pg 12.

Snapshots of the TelePresence Server ins't supported at this time, see cisco-virtual-tp-server-fails and CSCup56804.
