TMSXE Issue

All,

We have a customer that just installed TMS 14.1.1 & TMSXE 3.0.2.  Everything seems to be working fine, except one minor issue.

  • Booking a room generates at least 3 emails per booking
    • One email from the Exchange to accepting the meeting
    • One email from TMS Service account stating that a meeting has been created
    • Another email from Exchange replying to the Service Account stating that the meeting has been accepted againThe client is also booking multiple room resources into Exchange in meetings, so they are receiving 3, 6, 9 etc…emails per single booking.

The client is also booking multiple room resources into Exchange in meetings, so they are receiving 3, 6, 9 etc…emails per single booking.

Thank you,

First thing that comes to my mind: Are they using the custom form with Exchange 2010, and have checked the "Forward meeting requests without script when Cisco form is present in Exchange 2010" option in the TMSXE admin tool? That would explain an additional email from each resource.

And just to be clear: Organizers are first expected to get one accept from each Exchange resource mailbox; this should happen within a a few seconds. Then, about one minute later, the organizer should get exactly one confirmation email from the service user. If I book four resources, I'll expect to get a grand total of five emails.

Regards,

Kjetil

Kjetil,

Thank you for the quick response, I will check that setting and thanks for the explanation.

Kjetil,

So they have that "Forward meeting requests without script when Cisco form is present in Exchange 2010" option enabled, so this means they should get (3) emails per resource, right?

Hi,

It has been a while since I used this option with Exchange 2010, but I hope my memory serves me right: The organizer should get two emails per resource (the accept + the forward), and one email when the booking is completed. If he for exampled scheduled three video systems, he should get a grand total of seven emails.

Hi all,

Good morning,

I write here wondering if anyone can help me with some question that I have reffer to TMS:

  • I create an active list, and in the parameter of the ip phone I put the jabber extensions. It only work for voices calles, so my question is what do I have to do for have video calls with the contacts that have jabber?
  • Im creating videonconferences, and in conference information I write the e-mail that the person that I want to notify, but the e-mail doesn't sent. Is there another way to notify by email to the people that will be in the videoconference?

Thanks
