If I have a serial number, can I get the model # of my device, and thus get a physical description of it....

and, if i have to unplug and replug my devices (2 VCS-Control and 1 ExpresseWay) is there a procedure to follow ?....

All 3 are old 1st generation TANDBERG hardware appliances, sometimes refereed to as the black pizza box.  The part numbers for them were CTI-VCS-CONTRL-K9 and CTI-VCS-EXPRESS-K9, while the descriptions back then were simply VCS Control and VCS Expressway.  I should also point out that no more software will be released for that particular VCS platform (latest supported release being X8.7.x), and they're coming up on end-of-life in 2019, see eos-eol-notice-c51-731300.

I don't recall there being any specific order. I would power them down cleanly and they should talk to each other properly when powered back up, assuming network connectivity.
