Cisco Umbrella is launching two new settings in the Umbrella dashboard for roaming computers.
- VA Backoff
- Choose if the roaming clients disable behind an Umbrella virtual appliance (VA)
- Trusted Network Domain
- Define a fixed domain at the subdomain level that resolves to a local IP address on your network. While this domain resolves to a local IP, the client will disable.
- The client will stop sending regular network test probes until this trusted domain is no longer detected.
- Recommended for networks with low NAT translation table sizes for UDP causing intermittent UDP packet drops for on prem firewalls
- Define a fixed domain at the subdomain level that resolves to a local IP address on your network. While this domain resolves to a local IP, the client will disable.
