We are trying to import 500 users from AD into Unity using the Bulk Import Tool.
Unfortunately, the AD records contain numbers in the format (xxx)xxx-xxxx which causes the import to error out.
What I had hoped was that the records would come up with either no number or the errored number and then I could trim it down to 4 digits before the import.
Is there any way of accomplishing this without either changing 500 AD records or manually importing 500 users?

I am having same issue - any chance you have found a fix as I'm told there is one with the unity tools but have yet to find it.
Thanks,
Paul.

There's a feature request into the DB boys to allow CUBI to be smart enough to yank the digits out of the field (i.e. strip non digits out) and grab the right most X digits to use as the default: CSCee80002.
There's no committed date for this, however - seems like a logical change to make to me but hey...
You can import new users from the directory from CSV (i.e. match the alias/mail nickname in the CSV file) - this allows you to provide the extension number for users in the CSV and import them in bulk - check out the help file for CUBI for the format of the CSV file for this. It's about as close as you can get I believe.
