I am working on a 2 node CUCM 10.5.1 cluster that also includes a Cisco Unified Attendant Console Advanced 10.5.1 server. The server is currently pointed at the publisher server, but when that server is down it will not register with the subscriber server. What we see is that the CTI ports report that they are unregistered.
We tried rebooting the Attendant Console server and also checked the TSP configuration in the attendant console which does already include both servers.
How would I ensure properfailover between the CUCM servers in the event the publisher goes down?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Michael

have you added ip address of subscriber on TSP configuration page.
Please go to the Attendant Console Windows server > all programs > Cisco
TSP > TSP configuration > Select the CTI servers tab, this is where you
enter the ip address of your CUCM subscriber.

Yes, both servers are listed there and were there prior to the test we did. We even tried reversing the order and rebooting the attendant console server. This did not change the behavior that the ports would not register.
Thanks,
Michael

We know that the resilience works for CTI and this is configured over TSP configuration. Here is a document that confirms the same;
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucmac/cuaca/10_5_1/design_guide/CUACA1051DG.pdf
Now,
do you know if the CTI manager service itself is running in the second ip address that you are have entered in the TSP configuration?
try a telnet to the the cucm subscriber ip address over TCP port 2748 form the cuac subscriber node and see if this is successful or not.
-rate if this helps.

Amit,
We did verify that the CTI Manager is up and running on the second node. We also have contact center and that was registered with the second node during the test and the calls through it worked just fine.

what about the telnet ? Did that work as i requested above for CTI port 2748. If yes we will need to review the TSP/ CTI logs to confirm why the port registration failed.

I cannot telnet into the subscriber server using port 2748, it gives me an error that the server refused connection. I get the same error when I try to telnet into the publisher on that port as well.

Hi Did you fixed this failover issue?
We have the same symptoms on CUAC 11 and CUCM 11.5
