Available vRAM

Hello. We are planning to increase the vRAM of the CUCM nodes. I searched high and low on the internet but cannot find an answer. My question is, how would you know if there is still an available or free vRAM to be allocated? Thank you.

You need to check how much RAM the host in VMware has and then see how much you use for combined allocation on all VMs that run on this host. If there is free RAM available on the host you can allocate it to a VM as vRAM.

This question is a lot more related to ESXi than it is to CUCM or any other virtual machine/product you run on the host.

If you're not familiar with ESXi, might want to reach out to someone within your organization who is, or you want to spend some time reading ESXi resource allocation documentation as well as reading on the required hypervisor memory and VM memory overhead that occurs to make sure you have enough resources to increase the vRAM on ANY virtual machine you have in that host.
