Hi everyone,
Is there a table or a calculator that computes for the bandwidth that a phone take when registering in CUCM over a WAN. The case is that the UCM will be housed in one place and the phones will be in another place. How many phones can a 1MB pipe handle? When calling from one IP phone to another IP phone, will there be transcoding? How much bandwidth would it take?
Would appreciate any answers.
Thanks,
Sharleen

Take a look at this calculator
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/VBC/do/CodecCalc1.do
In addition, if you look at the SRND for CUCM there is a section on bandwidth calculations for RTP, control traffic etc
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/8x/netstruc.html#wp1165070
Thanks
