Hi All,
I just received my 2 units of BE6000.
I understand that there's 3 options of BE6000 factory prepartions.
1. Pre-loaded, 2. Pre-installed. 3. Pre-configured
It looks like we ordered the PreConfigured options, that has the ip 172.27.19.10, 11, 12, 13.
My question is: based on the cisco live slides, it mentioned changing IP addresses and hostnames NOT recommended.
So i suppose ill need to delete all the VMs, and install the ova, iso from sractch thats in the datastore.
Is that correct?
Is there a scenario on why ppl would use a pre-configured BE6000? apart from using it as LAB?!
There is unlikely that customer would use that default ip address range pre-configured
Appreciate any advise

Hi,
Yes, the apps do come pre-configured as well on BE6K. The only use would be if you have a backup from a similar version which you want to restore on this version , for that as well the IP address, hostname, security password etc need to match. So basically, instead of putting in an effort of changing all these ip / hostname / security password details you can very well install the cucm application from scratch and configure it or use the DRS backup from similar version to configure it in one go. Using the preconfigured IP address is something that people would generally not do.

U need to start fresh installation by deploying the OVAs of required applications.
