Bulk Update End user Permissions CCM7

Hi List,

We have CCM v7.1.5 with LDAP (Active Directory) sync enabled, all the users are imported, the problem is the integration with LDAP was performed at a later stage (after provisioning around 600 phones). Now we have challenge to assosciate all these phones to end users and add the end users to 'CCM END USER' group as well so that users can access the 'ccm user page'.  I have played around with the BAT tool but couldnt find anything that will help me update these both options.

This is very critical and urgent help is appreciated!

To do this, you have to set up a User Template in BAT first.  Then you can update users via this template and simply use the hash (#) key to ignore fields you dont need to touch.  If you go to update users, you can see the sample file headers:

USER ID,PASSWORD,MANAGER USER ID,DEPARTMENT,PIN,DEFAULT PROFILE,USER  LOCALE,TELEPHONE NUMBER,PRIMARY EXTENSION,ASSOCIATED PC,IPCC  EXTENSION,MAIL ID,PRESENCE GROUP,SUBSCRIBE CALLING SEARCH SPACE,DIGEST  CREDENTIALS,REMOTE DESTINATION LIMIT,MAXIMUM WAIT TIME FOR DESK  PICKUP,ALLOW CONTROL OF DEVICE FROM CTI,ENABLE MOBILITY,ENABLE MOBILE  VOICE ACCESS,PRIMARY USER DEVICE,USER GROUP 1,CONTROLLED PROFILE  1,CONTROLLED DEVICE 1

The headings highlighted in bold are typically what may update (give or take).  The User Group 1 would be Standard CCM Users or whatever it is in CCM roles (exactly as it appears).  You simply list the User ID for each user to be updated.  I've done this before and will tell you that the BAT file can be a bit finicky so if you get errors first time around, just root out the error and try again.  You'll eventually get it to work.
