Button/key for when receptionist steps away?

We would like the capability to manually enable or disable calls ringing on the receptionist desk coming in from the outside by only using a button on a 7960 phone.

If the receptionist steps away we don't want her phone to ring while she is gone.

The receptionist does not have Attendant Console, or web access to Unity Administration. Thus we need a button on the phone to do this.

Can we CallForwardAll her calls to the Opening Greeting Call Handler?

We are using Unity UM 4.0(4) and Callmanager 4.0.

Hi -

Does the receptionist have voicemail? You can press the CFwdAll softkey and then her Messages button on the phone. The phone won't ring and calls will immediately get her voicemail greeting. That way, messages won't be missed either. However, you could forward her phone to the extension you have coded in CCM for the CTI route to Unity. This will give the callers the Opening greeting, where they could dial an extension or invoke the directory.

You can CFwdAll to another extension where someone would be able to answer the call. You can either enter the extension number you want to forward to or if you have another outside phone number you can enter that, but remember if you have a predial such as a "8" or "9" enter that prior to the area code and prefix.

Hi,

If you have another extension to go into another opening greeting, you can configure it as a speed dial on the receptionist phone so that the recep can just press CFwdAll followed by the speed dial button.
