I have a call handler setup with caller input. The green instructs them if they would like to leave a voicemail to press 0. Under the caller input - 0 I have the Call Action set to "Take Message".
Is there anyway to record a greeting before the recording takes place for the messaging instead of just directly "beep" and recording?
Running Cisco Unity Connection version: 11.0.1
Thanks!

Katie85,
There are a few ways to do this, but I would probably just create a mailbox. Then under actions change it from Call Action to User with Mailbox and then set up your greeting that way. You could also go to the Operator (System Call Handler), create a greeting and direct your call handler to that one.

Create a second call handler that will play a greeting and have the after greeting action be "take a message". Also check the box for "do not allow caller input during greeting". (It's names something like that.) Have the 0 keypress on the original call handler transfer to the second call handler.
Be sure to configure a target for who should receive messages left for the call handler so they don't end up in the undeliverable messages voicemail box.
