Hello there. We have this scenario
CUCM cluster in production version 6.1(1) operating in mixed mode
One Publisher and one subscriber.
300 end points, half of them operating in secure mode. End points vary form 7911, 7940, 7960, 7970 models, and IP Communicators all SCCP.
Many of those en points are geographycally dispersed and with static IP adressing configured.
In parallel we installed a virtualized CUCM cluster version 11.0(1)
All the configuration was manually exported-imported. This cluster is in non-secure mode.
A different IP addressing was used for this new cluster, just for the purpose of installing and configuring. For the migration the IP addressing have to be changed to the same IP addresses being used for the actual cluster, this because the statis addressing in the several remote end points.
There's no integration with IM&P nor Unity Connection or any other UC solution.
We were thinking to follow this migration plan:
1. Change mixed mode to non-secure in CUCM 6.1
2. Make sure all end points register as non-secure in CUCM 6.1 (all of them has to download a new CTL file)
3. In an isolated network change the IP addressing for the new CUCM 11.0
4. Make sure all si OK with the new CUCM 11.0 after the IP address change
5. Disconnect form the production network the CUCM 6.1 servers
6. Connect to the production network the new CUCM 11.0 servers
7. end points will download the correspondig load and the get registered to the new CUCM 11.0
8. enable mixed-mode in CUCM 11.0 token-less
9. enable secure mode in the required end-points
Do this migration plan looks fine?
Is there any additional recomendation to follow?
Somethig to take care on the loads on the phones for this migration?
