Hello All,
I am currently deploying Call Manager 8.6.1 with Presence 8.6.4. I managed to log in successfully into Jabber. The users in Call Manager are synchronized to LDAP. However, I am not able to search for users in LDAP directory in Jabber. I have placed jabber-config.xml which consists of the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<config version="1.0">
<Directory>
<DirectoryServerType>UDS</DirectoryServerType>
<PhotoUriWithToken>http://10.0.2.3/%%uid%%.jpg</PhotoUriWithToken>
</Directory>
</config>
Any help will be appreciated

Hi
Have you copied the file to the CUCM TFTP server, and restarted the TFTP service?
If so, can you quit Jabber completely, then run it again and generate a problem report, then post it up here?

Hello,
Please note that UDS is not supported with Jabber for Windows until CUCM 8.6.2. This is documented here:
After you upgrade your CUCM from 8.6.1 to 8.6.2, UDS should work fine.

Hello All,
I managed to find the root cause. It is because I have not activated the User Directory Search service in CUCM. Once I did that, UDS works fine in Jabber.
Btw rohorgan, I know the documentation says that UDS is only supported in 8.6.2 onwards, but strangely I am able to perform UDS in 8.6.1, and I saw many others reporting the same
