Hello all,

We have received a request from one of the account that they 'Cannot register Avaya 9650 to CUCM 6.1.5, stuck in Discover xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'.\

We have suggested to manually enter the IP and TFTP addresson IP phone but no luck .Could you please help us with your inputs on this

is avaya 9650 is compatible with cucm 6.1.5, i unable to find any documents in cisco website

Avaya phones are not officially compatible with any CUCM version.  Is the phone defined as 3rd party SIP endpoint in CUCM? Does it have digest user properly matching on both sides (CUCM and phone), is there a way to pull a log from the phone?

- Does it have digest user properly matching on both sides (CUCM and phone) = Yes in CUCM, but not yet in the phone

  we are unable to get the log since its not getting ip address

OK, so the issue is not registration, the issue is networking.

I am assuming you are using DHCP, is the DHCP defined for the voice VLAN the phones it in are your switch ports configured for LLDP-MED as they would not CDP? Have you tried statically assigning IP and TFTP info to the phone?

In addition I don't think Avaya phones use option 150 for TFTP, I think they use 66 or something else.
