Cisco CUBE H323 trunk to Polycom RPAD

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to CUBE configuration and I'm currently trying to configure an H323 trunk between the CUBE and a Polycom RPAD.

The full path of the call will be: CUCM -- SIP -- CUBE -- H323 -- RPAD -- SIP -- DMA

What I currently have configured in the CUBE (parts of it at least that I think are relevant):

voice service voip

allow-connections h323 to sip

allow-connections sip to h323

dial-peer

destination pattern ...

session target ras

codec transparent

I think I'm missing some more parts but I cannot seem to find any information about this in the documentation.

Anyone who can point me in the right direction?

"session target ras" is relevant for Gatekeeper deployments. Is your GW going to register to a Gatekeeper and let it handle the call admission ?
You basically need "session target ipv4:X.X.X.X" where X denotes the RPAD IP. You would need another dial-peer with a session target pointing to CUCM for calls coming in from the RPAD.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube/configuration/cube-book.html

Go through the "CUBE Fundamentals and Basic Setup" chapter. Will be helpful.

So.. I'm back on this issue. In the meantime I read up a little bit more on the CUBE but I'm still having issues with this type of setup.

So my GW will not register to any Gatekeeper no. It's just there for the interworking between H323 and SIP.

I got the call going out from the CUBE to the RPAD and I see the call coming in on the RPAD on H323 but after the H323 setup message I immediately get an H323 releaseComplete message from the CUBE.

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Hard to tell without any further details. Get the logs for the following -

debug h225 asn1
debug h245 asn1
debug ccsip message
debug ccsip error
debug voice ccapi inout

Attach running-config from the CUBE as well.

running config attached and debug log below.
