Cisco IP Communicator 8.6.2 TFTP Server Grayed Out :-(

After installing CIPC 8.6.2 I went into preferences/network expecting to be able to modify the device name and the

tftp server.  But everything is grayed out.  I looked at the support thread below where some folks suggested running

CIPC as Administrator.  But this was no help - still all gray.  Another suggested unchecking Close hides application and

then running as Administrator.  That was no-go.  I can post screen caps but not much to see.  The release notes mention

that my network has to support DHCP with option 150.  Is that implying that you can no longer manually enter the TFTP

server?  Any tips appreciated!

It looks like I can specify the TFTP during setup and command line..

e.g.

msiexec /i CiscoIPCommunicatorSetup.msi /qb DEVICENAME="MikesCIPC"  TFTP1="10.1.1.1" TFTP2="10.1.1.2"

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cipc/2_0/english/administration/guide/CADins.html#wp1137111

..giving that a try.

That worked to set the TFTP servers and I had a good test.  Another good lesson in RTFM!

To the lunch the application, If you right click and run as administrator, the tftp will not be grayed out.
You can try this also.

Thanks for the reply.  But no I tried Run As Admnistrator several times based on the post of others having problems with CIPC 7.  TFTP was still grayed out even when running as administrator.  The only thing that has worked was re-installation from command line with parameters to specify the TFTP servers.  Perhaps there is a parameter which specifies whether or not to let the end user update TFTP.
