Cisco phones compatibility with AASTRA PABX

Hello,

If I have an AASTRA PABX, and Cisco IP Phones WITHOUT a CUCM or CME, will Cisco IP Phones be able to register to AASTRA? Just like some vendors IP Phones are compatible with CUCM, are Cisco's phones compatible with AASTRA or they need a Communications Manager and a trunk link?

Thank you!

The only phones that Cisco supported in a generic SIP implementation was the 7960 and 40.  All other Cisco models use a SIP stack that is only compatibile with Cisco Call processing.   So if you have a phone other than the 7960/40, then you must use CUCM or CME and trunk them to AASTRA.

Thanks,
