Cisco TelePresence T1 support in UCM v 11

Firstly, I fully understand that the Cisco T1 has been EOL

However, it is technically just a Cisco C90 Codec, and I am curious as to why it is not supported in CUCM?

I have tried to add it to CUCM as a C90, but it errors with incorrect type.

Is there a way to change the Product ID in the system itself, to change it from a T1 to a C90 so that it can be added to CUCM?

A technical/business explanation of why something sopped being supported, is not something that can be discussed at CSC, you'd need to engage your SE/AM for that.

And what you're asking about modifying the DB to manually add support for a device/product, might be technically feasible, but that's far deep into the unsupported territory. I'm guessing it's not as simple as just changing the product name, there are a lot of dependencies.
