Cisco Unified Messaging sync with O365

I have just set up our unified messaging service in CUC and I have successfully left a voicemail and received it in my O365 mailbox.

My two questions, is there a way to show the external caller number? Right now it says 'Unknown'

also, my wav file attachment seems to be corrupted. It does not open in groove or windows media player and I have downloaded it and tried it on multiple devices.

With default configuration, Subject line will show 'Unknown Caller ID' if unity connection doesn't see a caller ID. In that case you need to check if the caller ID is received from PSTN and also make sure the CUCM SIP trunk is configured to pass the caller ID information to unity connection.

Email subject setting on Unity connection is available at System Setting > Subject Line Formats.

In regards to wav file, do you hear distorted audio or not able to play the file at all? Can you share any file?

It simply says that it's corrupted and does not load. I tried the same wav on multiple PCs. I did not set up any other users for testing SingleInbox

I guess you will have to do more testing to narrow down the issue

  1. Are you able to listen to the voicemail from any phone?
  2. If yes, try opening wav file on audio editors like audacity. Is it possible that your emails are encrypting the attachments ?
  3. Is this happening for internal as well as external calls or External only?

I am able to hear the voicemail when using the Cisco IP handset or softphone.

Downloading the wav and playing in Groove or Audacity or VLC just plays 1 second of static

Happens for internal and external callers
