My speculative guess is that no one bothered to test compatibility, making 'no' the default answer.
That whole site was Jeff Lindborg's baby. It appears he is no longer at Cisco though; his profile here on the community no longer exists so I can't tag him. The footer on the website now points at an email alias instead of him directly. I have launched a flare asking who the custodian of that site is now. More info if I get it.
